Ann-Marie has worked in education for over 14 years and holds Postgraduate Diploma in Education and a BA degree in Humanities (Psychology, Philosophy, Sociology & Religious Studies). She is passionate about living mindfully and working with others in the area of self-care and self-awareness in order to create more connections and foster a greater sense of compassion, empathy and joy in daily living. She believes that filling your own ‘well’ of energy every day can improve your life and the lives of those around you in subtle but powerful ways. She has successfully designed and facilitated her own workshops and courses in this area nationwide for the past 5 years. She holds a Professional Certificate in the Therapeutic Use of Mindfulness (IICP). She created Department of Education approved courses for teachers (Well-Being, Self-Care and Renewal for the Primary Teacher), which includes both face to face and a new online course. She has worked with teenagers and young children in this area, along with running parent workshops and creating a well-being programme for her school. She has worked with various community groups and clubs, along with lecturing in the Portobello Institute of Education. She has given talks and facilitated workshops for IPPN (Dublin), The Teaching Council of Ireland, ATECI, the NIPT, the RTAI, the NCCA, the PDA, the INTO and various education centres and schools throughout the country.
