Ray Moylette was born on April 11, 1990 in a little village called Islandeady, which is nestled between two towns in the West Coast of Ireland in County Mayo. The youngest of seven siblings, he started boxing at the tender age of six. It was clear that he had natural talent in the ring and felt right at home on the big stage.

Ray was drafted into the Irish High Performance unit where he spent 10 years training and learning from the best under a government funded program. His hard work and dedication paid off. At the 2008 World Championships in Mexico, Ray won five fights in seven days to capture the historic World Gold medal. He is the only Irish man to ever accomplish to this feat. In 2011 he reached the height of his amateur career winning the European Elite Championships in Turkey.

Despite all of his early successes he failed to qualify for the Olympics, but he didn’t let that disappointment define him. He re-dedicated himself to the sport he loved with one goal in mind — to become a World Champion.

Moylette turned Professional in January 2017, teaming up with Assassin Promotions in England and Ken Casey of the Dropkick Murphys & Murphys Boxing in Boston. Under the tutelage of trainer Packie Collins (brother of World Champion Steve Collins) Moylette has taken his fight game to the next level. His presence in the ring and lightning quick hands make a future contender for a World Title.

A fierce competitor on the canvas, Moylette is a down to earth family man outside the ring. In December 2017 he got married to Sharon, his childhood sweetheart of ten years.
